How to Find Amazon Customer Service on the App (It's Hiding — Here's Where!)
If you've ever tried to find help on the Amazon app and ended up going in circles — you are not alone. Amazon makes their customer service surprisingly hard to find on purpose. But once you know where to look, it takes less than a minute. Here's exactly how to do it.
Why Is Amazon Customer Service So Hard to Find?
Amazon wants you to solve your problem yourself using their automated help articles. That way they don't have to pay someone to help you. But sometimes you need a real person — and you have every right to reach one.
Here's how.
Method 1 — Find Customer Service on the Amazon App
This is the one most people miss because it's hidden in a menu most people never open.
- Open your Amazon app on your phone
- Look at the bottom of the screen — you'll see some icons
- Tap the three horizontal lines in the bottom right corner — this is the Menu

Most people never find it because they look at the TOP of the app. It's actually at the BOTTOM right corner. That's the trick!
Method 2 — Talk to a Real Person via Chat
Once you're on the Customer Service page:
- Scroll down and tap "Something Else"
- Tap "Something Else" again on the next screen
- Tap "I Need More Help"
- A chat window will open
- Type your problem and a real agent will respond
Important: The first responses may be from a chatbot. Just keep typing "I want to speak to a real person" and they will connect you to a live agent.
Method 3 — Call Amazon by Phone
If you prefer talking to someone directly:
- Amazon's customer service phone number is 1-888-280-4331
- They are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
- Save this number in your phone right now so you always have it!
Pro tip: When you call, say "representative" or "agent" clearly when the automated system answers. This helps get you to a real person faster.
Method 4 — The Quickest Shortcut
If you're on the Amazon app and can't find anything:
- Tap the search bar at the top
- Type "customer service"
- Tap search
- The Customer Service page will appear at the top of results
What Can Amazon Customer Service Help You With?
Once you reach them, they can help you with:
- Missing or late packages
- Wrong items received
- Charges you don't recognize
- Canceling subscriptions
- Refunds and returns
- Problems with your account
Remember — You Have Every Right to Ask for Help
Don't let the confusing menus stop you. You are a paying customer and Amazon is required to help you. If the first person you reach isn't helpful — politely ask to speak to a supervisor.
